Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates
Mr. Vickers submitted the following message:

BY THE SBNATE,

March 15> 186*.
Gentlemen :

We have received your message proposing to the Senate te
recede from our amendment fixing the compensation, of the
Commissioner to examine into the accounts of Police Officers,
of the city of Baltimore. We concur in your message, hare
receded from our amendment and passed the bill with year
proposed amendment.

Secretary.

Which was read assented to and sent to the House of Dele-
gates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled, an Act to procure suitable frames to
contain the address of General George Washington, de-
livered on the occasion of the resignation of his commission
as Commander-in-chief of the American forces ;

Endorsed,

"Passed by yeas and nays,"

And delivered the following bills :

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore Ship
Yard Company ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Aet to incorporate the Midlothian Coal
and. Iron Company of Allegany county;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Talbot County, to subscribe in behalf of said
