The Clerk of the Home of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing message:

BT THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 15, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

The House of Delegates having refused to concur in the
amendment proposed by the Senate to the House bill entitled,
An act to prsvide for the liquidation and settlement of ar-
rearages of pay due to the officers and men of the Police force
appointed and organized under the Act of 1860, chapter 7,
that is to say by striking out "ten dollars" and inserting
"four dollars as the pay of the Commissioner."

We respectfully request your bonorable body to recede from
said amendment.

Which was read.

Tine Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the following
bill;

A bill entitled, an Act to provide for the liquidation and
settlement of arreareges of pay due to the officers and men of
the Police force appointed and organized under the Act of
1860, chapter, 7;

Endorsed MSenate amendments not concurred in."
Mr. Stephenspn moved that the Senate recede from the
amendment;

On the question being put,
