Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an A,ct for the relief of the securi-
ties! on the bond of John D. Nabb, former collector of the
State taxes, in Talbot county;

Reported it without amendment,
The bill was then read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Jump,

The bill was read the third time by special order,
three-fourths concurring, and passed by yeas and nays as-
follow:

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to authorize and require the
Comptroller to correct the errors in the distribution of the
Free School Fund from the year 1852, to the year 1866, and
to pay to Baltimore city and to Baltimore county, the
amounts of which they have been deprived by said errors;
and to make appropriations for that purpose ;

Reported "said bill ought not to pass ;"

The report was ordered to lie over.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported a bill
entitled, an Act to regulate and fix the compensation to be
paid for publishing the laws and proclamations ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to abandon
and close the road at Gilpins Ford, in Cecil county ;

Reported it with the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by adding to the first section at the end thereof,
the words "Provided that the County Commissioners of Ce-
cil county shall decide that the interests of the public would
not be injured by said abandonment."
