The bill entitled, an Act to procure suitable frames to con-
tain the address of Gen. George Washington, delivered on
the occasion of the resignation of his commission as com-
mander-in-chief of the American forces, and the reply thereto
of the Congress of the United States, then in session at the
city of Annapolis, in December, 1783 ;

Being under consideration.

Mr. Philpot submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 1, line 3, after the words "three hundred,"
insert "eighty five."

Which was read and adopted.

The bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays as follow :
