Mr. Vickers submitted the following :

WHEREAS, the Act of January session, 1864, requires the
Secretary of the Senate to furnish certified copies of the laws
passed at each session, to the Mayor of Baltimore and the
County Commissioners of the several counties, and whereas
no compensation is provided in said Act for this arduous
duty, therefore,

ORDERED, That the Chairman of the Committee on claims,
be and he is hereby directed to issue his certificate in favor of
Augustus Gassaway, for the sum of three hundred dollars as
compensation for the said extra services;

Which was read and adopted.
On motion by Mr. Vickers,

The Senate adjourned until to-morrow morning at 11
