Mr. Davis, of Caroline, submitted the following amend-
ment :

Amend section 2nd by striking out all after the word
"provided," in line 6 to the word "and," in line 18, and in-
sert "as they are entitled to senators and members of the
House of Delegates in the General Assembly under the Con-
stitution of 1864. Each legislative district of Baltimore city
to be entitled to elect as many members as each district is en-
titled to in the present Senate and House of Delegates."

The question on the adoption of the amendment was deter-
mined in the negative by yeas and nays as follow:

On motion by Mr. Earle,

All further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

The bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas
