be liable to indictment in the Circuit Court for
Anne Arundel county, and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined a sum not less than one hundred
dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, and
also be imprisoned in the county jail for not less
than five days and confined until the said fine and
costs of prosecution shall be paid; but if any
minor or person named in this section shall wil-
fully misrepresent that he is of full age, or that
he is not prohibited by this section, and shall ob-
tain any spiritous liquor, and the person selling
the same shall beable to prove such misrepresen-
tation, the said person selling to the said minor or
other person so falsely representing himself shall
not suffer any penalty, but the person so offending
shall pay all the costs incurred in such case. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add new sections to chapter one hun-
dred and fifty-one of the Acts of the General
Assembly entitled, an Act to incorporate the
President and Commissioners of the village of
Rising Sun, in Cecil county. |

Sec. 28. The said President and Commission-
ers may borrow, on the faith of the corporation,
for the purpose of defraying the expenses of paving
the streets and making sidewalks within the cor-
porate limits of said village, any sum of money
not exceeding five thousand dollars; and may is-
sue bonds for the same, bearing interest at the rate
of six per centum per annum, and in such sums
and payable at such times as the said President
and Commissioners may direct, not exceeding
twenty years. |
