CHAPTER 383.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pur-
chase copies of a Digest of the decisions constru-
ing the statues of Maryland, of which the Code
of Public General Laws is composed with refer-
ences to the Acts of Assembly, by Lewis Mayer,
and to regulate the distribution of the same.

Passed Mar.
19,1867.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the sum of thirty-two
hundred dollars be and hereby is appropriated to
purchase four hundred copies of a Digest of the
decisions construing the statues of Maryland of
which the Code of Public General Laws is com-
posed, with references to the Acts of Assembly, by
Lewis Mayer.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Librarian of
the State be and he is hereby directed to purchase
the said four hundred copies of said work, at the
price of eight dollars per copy; said copies to be
bound in law sheep, corresponding in form and
lettering to the Code, and to bo delivered at the
State Library.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the Libra-
rian shall distribute the said copies of said work
in the following manner, that is to say, to the
Court of Appeals, two copies for the office, and one
for each of the Judges thereof, to the State Re-
porter, one copy; to each Judge of the Circuit
Courts, to the Judge of the Superior Court of Bal-
timore city, to the Judge of the Circuit Court of
Baltimore city, to the Judge of the Court of Com-
mon Pleas, to the Judge of the Criminal Court of Bal-
timore, one copy each for the use of their respective of-
ficers; to the Clerks of the Circuit Courts for each
county in the State, and for the city of Baltimore, the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore city, the
Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, the Clerk of
the Criminal Court of Baltimore, two copies each,
to the Registers of Wills throughout the State, for
the use of the Registers of Wills and Orphans'
Courts, one copy each, to the Executive Chamber,
two copies; to the Attorney General, one copy, to
