to make valid the official Acts of Justices of the Peace ap-
pointed by Governor Bradford, during the month of Decem-
ber 1865, and January 1866, which appears to have been pass-
ed by your House.
When the bill reached this House, a portion of it had been
torn off and detached, making the bill imperfect. For the
purpose of enabling you to supply the deficiency, we respect-
fully return you the bill.

Leave was granted to withdraw from the files of the Senate
the memorials against any change in the charter of the Bal-
timore and Potomac Railroad Company.
Mr. Bowie from the Joint Committee on printing, submit-
ted the following:
The Joint Committee on printing in compliance with the
order of both Houses passed yesterday, relative to the delay
in printing, beg leave, respectfully, to report, that they sum-
moned before them the Printer, and after examining him re-
lative to the subject, they are satisfied that he has furnished
the printing matter, as rapidly as it could be done, and has
employed another office to aid in the more rapid completion
of the work and assures the committee that all the Senate
bills shall come in to-day, and the House bills, by Tuesday.
