erset county, in his life time was a slave, and pur-
chased his time and then purchased land in said
county, in Annamessex district, amounting to
thirty-eight acres, more or less, from Waddy Cul-
len and others, of which he died siezed and intes-
tate; and whereas, the said Titus Davy had mar-
ried Milly, a slave of Thomas Moore, whom he
afterwards purchased; and died leaving sundry
children not born free, or having inheritable blood,
and the State is supposed to have some interest in
said land. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the State of Maryland hereby
releases and quits claim to and all interest in any
land of which Titus Davy, a person of color of
Somerset county, died seized and the same is here-
by vested in the surviving children, and grand-
children of said Titus Davy by his said wife
Milly. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from its passage. |

AN ACT entitled, an Act to authorize the Board
of School Commissioners of Worcester county,
to appropriate money out of the free school fund
of said county, towards building school houses
and for other purposes. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Board of School Com-
missioners of Worcester county be, and are
hereby authorized and empowered to use and ap-
propriate out of the permanent free school fund
of said county money to an amount not exceeding
twenty thousand dollars, towards building, re-
pairing and purchasing school houses in said
county.
