P. Williamson, Trustees of Middletown Academy,
if in their judgment and opinion, the public in-
terest would not be injured thereby, are hereby
directed and empowered to transfer by deed with
such reservation as in their judgment and opinion
the public interest requires, the building and
grounds held in trust by them, to the Board of
School Commissioners, of Frederick county. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage. |

AN ACT to incorporate the Big Hunting Greek
Mining and Iron Manufacturing Company, of
Frederick county. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General assembly
of Maryland, That John B. Konkel, Joshua Biggs,
George W. Foreman, Samuel Keefer, John Rou-
zer, Joseph Wilhide and William C. Landers, and
such other persons as with them or in their place,
shall become Stockholders in said Corporation,
their successors and assigns be and they are hereby
created a body corporate and politic, by the name
and style of the Big Hunting Creek Mining and
Iron Manufacturing Company, of Frederick coun-
ty, and in that name shall have succession, may
sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer
and defend in any Court of law or equity, and.
may ordain and establish such by-laws, rules and
regulations so shall appear necessary for conduct-
ing the concerns of such Corporation, not contra-
ry to the laws of this State or of the United States,
and the same to change, alter and amend as they
may deem proper, and may have and use a com-
mon seal, and generally may do any act or thing
necessary or proper to carry into effect the provi-
sions of this Act, and to promote the designs of
the Corporation. |
