AN ACT to release the surety on the bond of
William Henry Waltemeyer. |
Preamble. |
WHEREAS, The said William Henry Walte-
meyer was indicted in the Criminal Court of Bal-
timore city, and has left the State, and his recog-
nizance was forfeited, and his security held for the
amount of bail given for his appearance, there-
fore, |
Release. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Jacob Waltemeyer, the bonds-
man in the case of the State against William
Henry Waltemeyer, be and he is hereby released
from the obligations of said bond, except that the
said Jacob Waltemeyer shall pay all the Court
costs in said cage. |
In force. |
Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |

CHAPTER 307. |

AN ACT to incorporate and to make a turnpike
road from the town of Leitersburg to the town
of Smithsburg, in Washington county. |
Incorporated. |
SECTION 2. .Be it enacted by the General assem-
bly of Maryland, That a company is hereby incor-
porated to make a turnpike road from the town of
Leitersburg to the town of Smithsburg, in Wash-
ington county. |
Capital stock. |
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital
stock of said company shall be not more than fif-
teen thousand dollars, in shares of twenty dollars
each. |
Subscriptions. |
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That books of sub-«
scription shall be opened at the towns aforesaid |
