den, Samuel .M. Jackson, Junior Warden, James
W. Cannon, Secretary, Joshua Johnson, Treasu-
rer, and the other officers and members of Wi-
comico Lodge, number ninety-one, of Ancient,
Free and Accepted Masons, located in the town of
Salisbury, Somerset county, and their successors
be and they are hereby declared to be a community,
corporation and body politic forever, by the name,
style and title of Wicomico Lodge, number
ninety-one, of Ancient, Free and Accepted Ma-
sons," and by that name they and their successors
shall have perpetual succession, and shall and
may at all times hereafter be capable in law to
have, purchase, receive and retain to them and
their successors property, real and personal, and
the same at their pleasure to transfer and dispose
of in such manner as they may judge most con-
ducive to the benevolent, charitable or other pur-
poses of said fraternity, and that the said corpo-
ration and their successors, by the name, style and
title aforesaid, shall have power to sue and be
sued, implead and be impleaded, answer and be
defended in any court of law or equity and before
any Justices or officers whatsoever, in all and
singular actions, matters or demands whatsoever.

Common seal,
&c.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That the said cor-
poration and their successors, under the name,
style and title aforesaid, shall have and use a com-
mon seal, and the same to break, alter or renew
at pleasure, and be empowered to make and estab-
lish such by-laws, rules and regulations as may
be necessary for the government of said corpora-
tion and to compel due observance thereof by suit-
able penalties, shall have and exercise all such
rights and privileges as are necessary or incident
to corporations, to enable it to duly and fully exe-
cute all things touching and concerning the de-
signs and intents thereof.

Reservation.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted. That the General As-
sembly of Maryland reserves to itself the right to
change, alter, amend or repeal this Act at pleasure.

In force,

Sec. 4. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
