mand or receive toll, and the bridge shall become
free for use of the public without charge.

Same of the
Company.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted. That the said com-
pany shall be known as the "Gwynn's Falls
Bridge Company of the Washington Road," and
by that name they shall have perpetual succession
and be able to sue and be sued, plead and be im-
pleaded, answer and defend in any court of law or
in equity, and to establish such rules and laws for
their regulation and government as are not repug-
nant to law and are consistent with the objects of
this act.

Limitation.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That if the said
bridge should not be commenced within three
months and completed within five months from
the passage of this Act, that then and in that
case all the privileges hereby granted shall cease.

In force.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 217.

AN ACT to incorporate Harmony Lodge No. Fif-
ty-Three, of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.

Incorporated,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Theodore J. Vanneman, Wor-
shipful Master, Andrew Orr, Alonzo Snow, Lu-
cius A. C. Gerry, John W. Beaven, and the other
officers and members of Harmony Lodge No. Fif-
ty-Three, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, lo-
cated in the village of Port Deposit, and their suc-
cessors, be and they are hereby declared to be a
community, corporation and body politic, by the
name, style and title of Harmony Lodge No. Fif-
ty-Three, of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons,
and by that name they and their successors shall
have perpetual succession, and shall and may at
all times hereafter, be capable in law to have, pur-
chase, receive, possess,, enjoy, and retain to them
