Sec. 18. And be it enacted, That the Commis-
sioners shall not receive any pay or compensation
for their services as such; the President shall have
power, when acting in the capacity of Justice of
the Peace, to charge the same rates as are allowed
by law to the Justice of the Peace. |
Bailiff to bo
appointed. |
Sec. 19. And be it enacted, That the Commis-
sioners shall appoint a bailiff, who shall preserve
the peace and good order of the town, and enforce
all ordinances and by-laws passed by them, and
for that purpose shall have all the powers of a
constable and receive such compensation as they
may determine just and right. |

Sec. 20. And be it further enacted, That the bai-
liff shall give to the Commissioners his bond with
approved security for the faithful discharge of the
duties imposed by said Commissioners. |
Reservation. |
Sec. 21. And be it enacted, That the General
Assembly reserves the right to amend or repeal
this Act at pleasure. |

Sec. 22. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Trustees
of the Union Church of Liberty Town in Fre-
derick County to convey certain church property
in said town to Thomas M. Wilson and others,
Trustees of the Methodist Protestant Church in
said Town, and to incorporate said Trustees. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the present hoard of Trus-
tees of the Union Church of Liberty Town, in
Frederick County, be and they are hereby author-
ized and empowered to convey to Thomas M. Wil-
son, Adam W. Devilbiss, Daniel Sweadner, Mahlon |
