Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Maryland Metalic
and Chemical Company, of Baltimore city;

Which was read the first time.

On motion by Mr. Davis, of Caroline,

The Senate adjourned until to-morrow morning at 11
o'clock.

WEDNESDAY, March 6th, 1867.

Mr. Mules presented the memorial of the Mechanics of Bal-
timore, in reference to running the cars on Sunday,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

On motion by Mr. Kimmel,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Stevenson, Vickers and Trai
to introduce a bill entitled, an Act to repeal the fourth, sev-
enth, fifteenth, sixteenth, twentieth, twenty-sixth, two hun-
dred and thirteenth and two hundred and twenty-second sec-
tions of the fourth article of the Code of Public Local Laws
relating to the city of Baltimore, and to the election of Mayor
and members of the City Council of said city; their terms of
office respectively, the time of entering upon the duties of their
offices respectively, and to amend and to re-enact said sections
and to repeal an act passed at January session eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-seven, entitled, an Act to repeal section two
hundred and twenty-seven of article four of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, relating to elections in the city of Baltimore,
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to amend and
re-enact said sections two hundred and twenty-seven.
On motion by Mr. Bowie,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Bowie, Compton, Stephen-
son, Frazier and Davis of Washington, to introduce a bill
for the repayment, out of the storage and outage oa tobacco,
of monies heretofore demanded and received by the Tobacco
Inspectors in the city of Baltimore, from the growers of tobac-
co, in violation of the acts of 1864, oh. 346, and 1865, .ch.
