Mr. Davis of Caroline submitted the following:

Ordered, That Dr. Barnard be allowed the use of Senate
Chamber on Thursday evening to deliver a lecture on "St.
John's College."

The question on the adoption of the order was determined
in the negative.

The bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Carroll county to appoint an additional Constable for District
No. 2 in said county,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follow:

Amend section 2, line 3, by striking out the word "sell,"
On motion of Mr. Tome,

Said bill was ordered to lie over.
On motion by Mr. Earle,

The vote whereby the bill entitled, an Act to secure settle-
ment with the County Commissioners of the several counties
and the Register of the city of Baltimore for Bounty funds
paid by the Treasurer of the State into their hands under Act
of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chapter 15, and also with
the Maryland State Bounty Commissioners for the said coun-
ties and city respectively, for bounty funds placed in their
hands, under the acts of eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
chap. 33 and 106 respectively, was ordered to be printed,
