and Charles H. Nicolai, of Baltimore county,
Richard Mackall, of Calvert county, William H.
Smith, of Caroline county, George Patterson, of
Carroll county, Jefferson Ramsay, of Cecil coun-
ty, John W. Jenkins, of Charles county, William
T. Goldsborough, of Dorchester county, George
R. Dennis and Anthony Kimmel, of Frederick
county, William B. Stephenson, of Harford coun-
ty, Samuel K. George, Jr., of Howard county,
Edward Wilkins, of Kent county, Allen B. Davis,
of Montgomery county, Oden Bowie, of Prince
George's county, James T. Earle, of Queen Anne's
county, H. G. S. Key, of St. Mary's county, Dr.
George R. Dennis, of Somerset county, E. L. F.
Hardcastle, of Talbot county, William Dodge, of
Washington county and Curtis W. Jacobs, of
Worcester county, to be by them expended in the
purchase of ground as aforesaid, and the same to
hold in trust for the benefit of the said association
with power to fill any vacancies that may occur in

their number, by a vote of their own body, provid-
ed, nevertheless that should the said association
at any time dissolve, the said Trustees or their
successors shall convey the land so purchased, to-
gether with all improvements thereon made, free
of all incumbrance, to the State of Maryland, and
provided also, that if said association shall hold
no exhibitions on said land for three successive
years, then said land shall be so as aforesaid con-
veyed to the State.

Exempt from
taxation.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the land and
other property held by the association hereby in-
corporated, shall be exempt from State and county
taxation.

Police to be
detailed.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That for the pur-
pose of preserving order and protecting property,
the Police Commissioners of the city of Baltimore
be, and they are hereby required to detail such
force as may be requested by the President of said
association, to be present during the exhibitions of
said association.

Banking pri-
vileges prohib-
ited.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall be so construed as to authorize the said
corporation to issue any note or other evidence of
debt to be used as currency.
