161. That the Mayor, Aldermen and Common
Council of Frederick shall have full power and
authority to pass all ordinances necessary and
proper to prevent minors from frequenting or vis-
iting any house or room within the corporate limits
of the city of Frederick in which gambling of any
species is carried on, and to provide for the punish-
ment thereof. |

WHEREAS, Frostburg Lodge number forty-nine,
Independent Order of Odd-Fellows, working un-
der an Act of incorporation from the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed February thirteenth,
eighteen hundred and forty-seven, chapter one
hundred and twenty-seven, did by purchase ob-
tain from Messrs. Aden Clary, J. S. Welch, Jas. H.
McCoy and others all the right, title, claim and
interest in and to a certain building known as
Frostburg School House, adjoining lots of J. T.
Getzandanner and others, in the town of Frost-
burg, county of Allegany, and State of Maryland,
which said building is now used, the lower part
as a school room and the upper part as a Lodge
room; and whereas, the terms of purchase prohibit
them from selling or transferring the aforesaid
building for any other purpose than a school
