frieght for that train, and shall take, transport and discharge
such passengers and property, at from and to such places, on
the due payment of the freight or fare legally authorized
therefor; and shall be liable to the party aggrieved, in an
action for damage for any neglect or, refusal in the premises.

The bill was then read the second time.

The clerk of the House of Delegates delivered Resolutions
in relation to Tolls on the Yorktown and Towsontown
Turnpike Roads;

Which was read the 1st time and referred to the Committee
on Internal Improvements.

Mr. Stephenson from Committee on Agriculture to which
was referred the bill entitled an Act to provide for the work-
ing of stock in the fourth election District of Anne Arundel
county ;

Reported it with an amendment,

Section 1, line 4 after the word "county," insert "having
stock running at large in said district."

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Stephenson from the Committee on Corporations to
which was referred the bill entitled an Act to amend an Act
to incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company of Allegany
county passed at December session, 1847 chapter 111 and the
supplement thereto, passed at December Session 1849, chap-
ter 385 and the Act amendatory thereof, passed at January
session 1860, chapter three hundred and nine.

Reported it without amendment. ,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Stephenson, from the Committee on Corporations, to
which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate
the Monumental Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore ;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Brodwater, from the Committee on the Chesapeake
and its tributaries, to which was referred the bill entitled, an
Act to prevent the interruption of the navigation of the Lit-
tle Annamessex River, in Somerset county ;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Eearle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money
for the purpose of paying the claim of Thomas E. Dell;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.
