John W. Moore, George A. J. Hopkins, John W,
J. Riall, Charles W. Larmore, Isaac W. Brewing-
ton, Noah J. Tilghman, George W. Robertson-
Esaw S. D. Insley, James H. Haley, George R.
Larmore, Harrison Insly and others, the officers
and members of Olive Branch Lodge, No. one
hundred and four, of the Independent Order of
Odd Fellows, attached to the Grand Lodge of
Maryland, and their successors, lie and they are
hereby incorporated, and made a body corporate
and politic, by the name and number of Olive
Branch Lodge, Number one hundred and four, of
the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of the State
of Maryland, and by that name may sue and be
sued, plead and be impleaded, have a common seal,
and the same, at their pleasure, alter, and be en-
titled, to use the powers and privileges incident to
such Corporations.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Corpo-
ration shall be capable of taking and holding real
and personal estate, not exceeding in value the
sum of twenty thousand dollars, which estate shall
never be divided among the members of the Cor-
poration, but shall descend to their successors, for
the benevolent relief of the sick and distressed, the
education of the Orpans of its members, and for
the promotion of these purposes generally.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Corporation
shall not be permitted to issue any note, token,
device, or scrip, or other evidence of debt to be
used as a currency.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this Corpora-
tion shall have power to alter and amend their
by-laws at pleasure; provided, they do not conflict
with the laws of the State of Maryland, the laws of
the United States, or the laws of the Grand Lodge.

take effect from and after its passage.
