SECTION 1, Be it enacted by Hie General Assembly
of Maryland, That John H. Tompson, D. Chris-
topher, C. Harper, William W. Morgan, John Pal-
mer, Andrew J. Collins, Dr. Robert McF. Price,
John T. Moore, William E. Thompson, William
J. McFeely, Jr., William J. McFeely, Sr., Robert
G. Price and James T. Earle, and their successors,
be and they are hereby declared to be a communi-
ty, corporation and body politic forever, by the
name, style and title of "Corsica Lodge, No. one
hundred and eighteen, of Ancient, Free and Ac-
cepted Masons," and by that name they and their
successors shall, and may have, perpetual succes-
sion, and shall and may at all times hereafter, be
capable in law to have, purchase, receive, possess,
enjoy and retain to them and their successors,
lands, tenements, rents, annuities, bank and other
stocks, pensions and other hereditaments, in fee
simple, or for terms of years, life, lives or other-
wise, and also goods, chattels or effects, of what
nature, quality or kind soever, by gift, bargain,
sale, devise or bequest., of any person or persons,
bodies corporate or politic, capable of making the
same, and the same at their pleasure, to grant,
alien, lease, transfer or dispose of, in such manner
as they may judge most conducive to the benevo-
lent and charitable purposes of the said fraternity; |

Capable in

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Corpo-
ration and their successors, by the name, style and
title aforesaid, shall be forever hereafter, capable
in law to sue and be sued, plead and ho impleaded,
answer and be answered unto, defend and be de-
fended, in all or any Courts of Justice, and before
all or any Judges, Officers or persons whatsoever |
