Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 25,
of Article 38, of the Code of Public General Laws, title Fees
of Officers, sub-title Notaries Public, and to re-enact the same
with an amendment.

On motion by Mr. Stirling,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Maryland Metalic and
Chemical Company.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Mutual
Insurance Company of Charles county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Maddox, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings!
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act for the benefit
of the Library Company of the Baltimore Bar;

Reported unfavorably thereon.

Mr. Stirling moved to recommit the bill to the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings;

Determined in the negative.
On motion by Mr. Vickers,

Said bill was referred to the Committee on Finance.

The House resolutions authorizing a pension to certain sol-
diers of the war of 1812,

Being under consideration,

On Motion by Mr. Stephenson,
Said resolutions were laid over informally.

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the town of Princess
Ann, in Somerset county, Maryland,

Was read the 2nd time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading,

Was read the third time by special order, three-fourths
concurring, and passed by yeas and nays as follow :
