SIR :—I received on the llt/i inst., a copy of an order passed
by the House of Delegates on the 23d ult., requesting me to
report to the same, "the amount of fees paid into the Trea-
sury by the Inspectors of Guano, since the year 1852;" to
which I have the honor to reply, that no fees have been paid
into the Treasury by the said Inspectors, since the year 1852,
as I find upon an examination of the books of this office.
