of Providence, of the city of Baltimore;

On motion by Mr. Stephenson, it was
Ordered, that the printer of the Journal of Proceedings of
the Senate, be directed to have the journal for the night ses-
sions ready for distribution, on the succeeding morning at
the hour of the meeting of the Senate;

On motion by Mr. Davis, of Washington,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to
amend section 46, of -Public School Laws entitled, "public
instruction," passed January 1865, so as to provide more ef-
fectually for the building of school houses;

On motion by Mr. Davis, of Washington,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to
