The official copy of the order transmitted to me by the clerk
requires information as to the receipts "commencing on the
first day of January, 1867;" but as there is manifest error in
the copy, I have referred to the reports in the newspapers,
and am thus led to believe that the information required is
for the period commencing on the first day of January, 1861,
and extending to January 1st, 1867.
