tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Treasurer of the
State of Maryland, to refund te Lewis Magruder, Collector of
State and county tax for 1862, for Prince George's county, a
a sum of money erroneously paid by him ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

A bill entitled, an Act to refund to Singleton L. Town-
send, of Allegany county, Maryland, a certain sum of money
erroneously paid into the State Treasury ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

A bill entitled, an Act to amend and re-enact section 9,
chapter 181, of .the laws of Maryland, relating to oysters,
passed by the General Assembly at the session of 1865 ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Chesapeake and its tributaries.

The bill entitled, an Act to secure the completion of the
Philadelphia and Baltimore Central Railroad, and to waive
the lien of the State,

Being under consideration,

Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, line 17, strike out the word "four," and insert
"three;"

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 1, line 11, strike out after the word "issued"
to the word "five," in line 12.

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, line 14. strike out after the word "Executed,"
to the word "by," iu same line;

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:

Insert at the end of section 1:

"Provided, that nothing contained in this Act shall be so
construed, as to revive the charter of the Philadelphia and
Baltimore Central Railroad Company, or any of its supple-
ments, or to extend the time for the completion thereof;"
