specters of grain in the city of Baltimore, asking that the
money standing in the Treasury of the State to the credit of
the grain fund, be applied to the payment of arrearages which
they claim to be due on their salaries from 1st April 1862, to
1st May 1864.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the Bill entitled, an Act to compensate Daniel C.
Blackburne, Esq., for services rendered the State, in prosecu-
ting in the cases of State vs. William B. Paca & Sons, for the
murder of John P. Paca, Jr., and Alfred Jones;

Reported it without amendments.

On motion by Mr. Tome,
Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Stephenson, from the Committee on Corporations to
which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate a
Company to make a Turnpike road from Ellicott's city to
Elysville, in Howard county;

Reported it without amendments,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Stephenson, from the Committee on Corporations, to
which was referred the bill entitled, "a supplement to an Act
to incorporate the Hillen Road Company of Baltimore coun-
ty;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Henkle, from the select Committee, reported a bill en-
titled, an Act to provide for the measurement of oysters in
Baltimore city;

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Henkle,

The rules were suspended, and the bill read the second,
and by special order the third time, three-fourths concurring,
and passed by yeas and nays as follow.
