The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Ben-
eficial Society of the Laboring Sons of Frederick city ;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Balt-
timore Wrought Iron Pipe and Tube Company ;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporation, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the American
Iron Ship Building Mining and Manufacturing Company ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Maryland
and New York Steam Transportation Company;

Which was read the first time.

The bill entitled, an Act to compensate Ezekiel F. Cham-
bers for professional services rendered the State,

Being under consideration,

Mr. Earle submitted the following amendment:

Amend 4th line, by inserting before the name of "Ezekiel
F. Chambers," the name of George W. T. Perkins, Executor
of Ezekiel F. Chambers;"

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 1, line 4, by striking out the word "five,"
and insert the word "three;"

Mr. Tome moved that the further consideration of the bill
be postponed until to-morrow;

Pending which motion;

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

February 28, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message proposing a joint session to
receive a committee from Baltimore, of Ministers and Lay-
men, in reference to the Sunday law, and concur therewith.
