Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

A bill entiitled, an Act, to add a new Article to the Code
of Public Local Laws for Queen Anne's County, to build a
new jail for said county, and provide means for that purpose.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

On motion by Mr. Spates,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Spates, Young and Trail, to
report a bill entitled, an Act, to repeal Sections 1, 2 and 3,
added to Article 41 of the Code of Public General Laws, by
Chapter 71; enacted Feb. 11th, 1864.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Henkle, Maddox and Wa-
ters, to introduce a bill to regulate the measurement of oys-
ters in Baltimore city.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Henkle, Bowie and Spates,
to introduce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel county to subscribe to the capital stock of the
Curtis Creek Bridge Company.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

It was ordered that when the Senate adjourn, it stands ad-
journed to meet this evening at 8 o'clock, and that for the re-
mainder of the session the Senate will hold two meetings
daily, one to commence at 11 o'clock, A. M., and the other
at 8 P. M. The day sessions for the consideration of general
bills, and the evening session for local bills.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, a Supplement to an Act, en-
titled, an Act to incorporate the Charles Street Avenue Com-
pany, passed January session, 1854.

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, by unanimous consent, presented the petition
of George W. T. Perkins and others, tax payers of Kent
county, for the passage of a law to tax Kent county, to aid in
constructing the Kent County Rail Road,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Towsontown Savings' Institution,

Reported it without amendment.
