THURSDAY, February 21, 1867.

Leave was granted to Mr. Mackall to have his name re-
corded in the affirmative on the passage of the Harford and
Cecil Boom bill.

Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of T. G. Sauerwein, Wil-
liam Gilmor Hoffman and others, of Baltimore, against any
change in the charter of the Baltimore and Potomac Rail
Road Company;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to introduce
a bill to appropriate an amount of money for the preservation
of the St. Mary's Female Seminary, in St. Mary's county.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Henkle, Mules and Holton,
to introduce a bill entitled, an Act to include Anne Arundel
county among the counties embraced in the Act of 1864,
chapter 128, making an annual appropriation for schools.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the bill en-
titled, an Act to incorporate the Westminster Gas Light
Company,

Endorsed,

"Passed by yeas and nays."

Also, the bill entitled, an Act, supplementary to an Act to
incorporate the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River Tide
Water Canal Company, passed at January session, 1866,
chapter 173,

Endorsed,

"Passed by yeas and nays."

And delivered the following bills ;

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections five, six and
eight, of chapter twenty-four, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-five, entitled, "an Act to au-
thorize William Krebs, Richard Linthicum and William
Linthicum, to build a bridge over Gwynn's Falls," at or near
where the present bridge stands, known as the Long Bridge,
and to enact substitutes therefor,

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.
