the Legislature of this State doth hereby refuse its ratifica-
of the said proposed amendment to the Constitution of the
United States.
-2. Resolved, That the Governor of this State be and he is
hereby requested to transmit to the Secretary of State of the
United States a duly certified copy of these resolutions.
3. .ffesolved,. That the Governor be and he is hereby re-
quested to transmit a printed copy of the foregoing report
and resolutions to the Executive of each of the several States
of the Union.
The question being upon the adoption of the report and
resolutions,
Mr. Buhrman moved to substitute for the majority reports
the minority report of the Committee and accompanying
resolutions, viz :
1. Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,, That
the Legislature of this State doth hereby ratify the said pro-
posed amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
2. Resolved, That the Governor of this State be and he is
hereby requested to transmit to the Secretary of State of the
United States a duly certified copy of these resolutions.
