The title was then amended bv striking out after the word
"the" in 1st line the words ""fourth," "seventh," "fif-
teenth," sixteenth," "twentieth" and "twenty-sixth," and
by striking out from word "and," after the word "Balti-
more" all down to "respectively," inclusive.

Said bill was then returned to the Senate.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled, an
Act making appropriations for the support of the Government
for the year ending on the 1st day of January, 1868;

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ments;"

The question recurring upon the amendment proposed:

Amend by inserting after the word "dollars" in 2d line,
the following: "to the Lieutenant Governor, one thousand
dollars;"

The question being upon concurring therein, it was
