To the Maryland Disabled Soldiers' Home, five thousand

Mr Magrader proposed the following amendment:

Almshouse of Prince George's county, five thousand dol-
lars ;

Which was rejected.

The question then recurring upon the amendment proposed
by Mr. Gorsuch',

It was rejected.

Mr Knott proposed the following amendment:

Under title "Baltimore city :" "To the House of the Good
Shepherd of Baltimore city, three thousand dollars

"To the Infant Orphan Asylum of Baltimore city, three
thousand dollars."

Pending the consideration oi which,

Mr. Ford moved the previous question,

Which was not sustained.

The question then recurring upon the amendment proposed
by Mr. Knott,

It was adopted.

Mr Williams offered the following :

ordered That the order formerly adopted, devoting the

evening sessions to local bills, be and the same is hereby
evening sessions bills reported by the Committee on

Wavs and Means and the Committee on Claims be consdered
to the exclusion of other bills.

Which, on motion of Mr. Hammond,

Was laid on the table.
On motion of Mr. Clarke,

The House took a recess until five o'clock this P. M.

WEDNESDAY, March 20, 1867—5 P. M.

The House met.
