Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Stephenson moved a suspension of the Rules to enable
him to offer an order,

On the question being put, it was
Determined in the affirmative.

On motion of Mr. Stephenson, it was

Ordered, That Joseph G. Brewer, late Door Keeper of the
Senate, be paid for eight additional days, for extra services.

On motion of Mr. Waters,
The Senate adjourned until to-morrow at 12 o'clock, M.

THURSDAY, January 10, 1867.

The President laid before the Senate a communication from
the President and Managers of the Maryland Disabled Soldiers
Home;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Also, the following communication from William J.
Leonard, Esq., Comptroller of the Treasury, in obedience to
an order of the Senate passed on the 3rd instant;
