favorably without amendment the Senate bill entitled," an
Act to limit the amount of stationery furnished to members and
officers of the General Assembly, and to provide a system of
commutation ;

Which, was read a second time.

Mr. Williams, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably without amendment the Senate bill enti-
tled, an Act to secure settlement with the County Commis-
sioners of the several counties and the Register of the city of
Baltimore for bounty funds paid by the Treasurer of the
State into their hands under an. Act of 1864, chapter 15, and
also with the Maryland Stata Bounty Commissioners for the
said counties and city respectively, for bounty funds placed
in their hands under the Acts of 1865, chapters 33 and 10G
respectively ;

Which was read a second time.

Also, favorably, without amendment, upon the Senate bill
entitled, an Act to pay James Hopkins & Son for cleansing
and restoring portraits pt some of the early Governors of
Maryland ;

Which was read a second time.

Also, unfavorably the Senate bill entitled, an Act to add
the following sections to Article 81 of the Code of Public
General Laws, title, "Revenue and Taxes," relating to the
sale of real and leashold estates for taxes in the several coun-
ties;

Which was read a second time.

Also, unfavorably the bill entitled, an Act to refund to
Sarah Mathias, of Carroll county, a sum of money errone-
ously paid into the State Treasury ;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 4 of Article
81 of the Coda of Public General Laws relating to Revenue
and Taxes, and to re-enact the same with amendment;
On motion of Mr. Spicer,

The Senate bill entitled, an Act to prohibit the sale of
spirituous liquors and lager beer in and within a mile of
Fallston, Howard county,

Was made the order of the day for Monday,'March 18th,
at 12J o'clock, P. M.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following :
