The Joint Resolution in favor of certain deaf and dumb
pupils, viz : Mary Jane, David, Malinda, Sarah B. and Lu-
cretia Blair ;
Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Golibart proposed the following amendment:
"And also to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer in
favor of Thomas Sheridan, of Cecil county, a deaf mute, for
$150, for his education and clothing, either in the Columbia
Institute or the Philadelphia Institute for the Deaf and
Dumb, the said Thomas Sheridan being the son of poor par-
ents, unable to provide for him as his condition requires."
Which was adopted.
The Resolutions, as amended, were then passed by yeas
