Mr. Criswell presented the petition of 197 citizens of Car-
roll county, against the passage of a bill authorizing the
County Commissioners of Carroll county to subscribe to the
capital stuck, or endorse the second mortgage bonds of the
western Maryland Railroad Company to the amount of one
hundred thousand dollars.

Also, petition of 75 citizens of Carroll county, against the
passage of a bill authorizing the County Commissioners of
carroll county to endorse the second mortgage bonds of the
Western Miaryland Railroad Company to the amount of one
hundred thousand dollars ;

Also petition of 74 citizens of Carroll county against the
passage of a bill authorizing the County Commissioners of
Carroll county to subscribe to the capital stock or endorse the
second mortgage bonds of the Western Maryland Railroad
Company to the Amount of one hundred thousand dollars;
