Mr. Neilson submitted the following :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

Annapolis, March 11th, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message asking the return of the
bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 8 of the article 30, of
Public General Laws, entitled, "Crimes and Punishments,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments, extending the
provisions of said section to Somerset, Allegany, Washing-
ton, Anne Arundel, Frederick, Harford, Prince George's,
Baltimore, Talbot, Caroline, Cecil and Worcester counties,
we respectfully comply with your request and herewith return
the said bill.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the Senate.

On motion Mr. Hutchins,
(The rules being suspended,)

Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to re-
port a bill to appoint a Board of Control and Review for .
Baltimore county.

On motion ef Mr. Smith,
(The rules being further suspended,)
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill to grant pensions to widows of the soldiers of the
war of 1812.

On motion of Mr. Knott,
(The rules being yet further suspended,)

Leave was granted the Judiciary Committee to introduce a
bill to increase the salary of the Judge of the Circuit Court
for Baltimore city.

On motion Mr. Brydon,

The House took up for consideration the Senate bill en-
titled, an Act to incorporate the Allegany Land Company ;

Which was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays
as follow:
