sage :

BY THE SENATE,

March 11, 1867.
To the Honorable,

House of Delegates:

Gentlemen:—We purpose, with the concurrence of your
honorable body, the appointment of a Joint Committee of
five—two on the part of the Senate and three on the part of
the House—who shall proceed to Washington city, and urge
before the appropriate committee of Gongress of the United
States the appropriation of twelve millions of dollars or such
large amount as may be thought necessary, which shall be
loaned to the people of the South who may require assistance
to enable them to cultivate their crops, and thus afford per-
manent relief to her inhabitants. We have appointed on
the part of the Senate Messrs. Earle and Billingslea.

Also, returned the Resolution directing the dismissal
of the suit against the Annapolis and Elkridge Railroad

as recommended by the Governor in his message.

Also, the bill entitled, an Act to amend Article 21st of the
Code of Public Local Laws entitled, "Washington county,"
by amending certain sections, and adding thereto further
sections.

Also, the bit! entitled, a supplement to the Act passed at
January session, 1860, entitled, an Act to incorporate a com-
pany to" build a turnpike road from Libertytown, in Freder-
ick county, to intersect the Woodsboro' and Frederick Turn-
pike road at or near the Moaocacy bridge severally endorsed,

"Passed by yeas and nays."
