acts of Justices of the Peace, appointed by Governor Brad-
ford, during the month of December, 1865, and January,
1866, with the following accompanying message:

BY THE SENATE, Mar. 7, 1867.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received from your House a bill entitled, an Act
to make valid the official acts of the Justices of the Peace,
appointed by Governor Bradford, during the month of De-
cember, 1865, and January, 1866, which appears to have
been passed by your House.

When the bill reached this House, a portion of it had been
torn off and detached, making the bill imperfect, for the pur-
pose of enabling you to supply the deficiency, we respectfully
return you the bill.

Secretary.

Also, delivered a bill entitled an Act to make valid deeds
executed and acknowledged since the first day of November,
1864, before the Justices of the Peace in any county in this
State;

Which,was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Judiciary.

Also, a billentitled, an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Talbot county, to subscribe in behalf of said
county, to the capital stock of the Maryland and Delaware
Railroad Company, and to issue bonds for that purpose;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Talbot
and Queen Anne's delegations.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to add a section after section
53 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws, of Cecil
county, sub-title "Circuit Court," to authorize the Clerk to
enter judgment therein;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to release the estate of Joseph
L. Purvis, late of Caroline county, from liabilities to the
State, incurred by securityship on the bond of Alexander
Knotts, of Caroline county;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to add the following sections
to article 4 of the Public Local Laws, relating to the sale of
real and leasehold estate for taxes in the city of Baltimore;

Which was, read and referred to the Committee on. the
Judiciary,
