TUESDAY, February 19, 1867.

Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of Townsend, French
and Co., of Baltimore, asking to be refunded money illegally
paid into the State Treasury, on storage of tobacco;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Earle presented the petition of citizens of Queen Anne's
and Kent counties;

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Earle, Tome and
Waters.

Mr. Trail submitted the following:

Ordered, That the Select Committee to which was referred
the bill known as the Baltimore City Election Bill, return
said bill to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, from
which it was taken on the ground that the labors of said last
committee were so onerous as to prevent them from report-
ing the bill within a reasonable time;

The question on the adoption of the order was determined
in the negative, by yeas and nays as follow:

Ordered, That the bill to incorporate the Maryland State
Agricultural Association, be recommitted to the Committee
on Agriculture.

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following:

Ordered, That the Senate will not meet in session to-night,
but that the session is hereby dispensed with for to-night only:

The question upon the adoption of the order, was
Determined in the affirmative.
