Mr. Gorsuch presented the petition of forty-four ladies of
Frederick county, asking for the passage of a law, prohibit-
ing the sale of intoxicating liquors in, or within three miles
of the Village of Urbana, Frederick county;
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
Mr. Devecmon presented the petition of 142 citizens of
Cumberland, Allegany county, praying the Legislature to
pass an Act restricting and preventing the use of the charter
of the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad, until the Northern
Central and Pennsylvania Central Railroad Companies, shall
