Mr. Carmichael, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to release the
surety or the bond of Wm. Henry Waltemeyer,
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Magruder, from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported back the petition of Rich'd B. Posey and Geo. W. Car-
penter, of Charles county, in reference to the rights of fish-
ing on the Potomac River, and asked to be dischagred from
the further consideration of the same, as there are no petitions
before them on that subject.
The report was concurred in and the Committee dis-
charged.
