Also, the bill .entitled, an Act to incorporate the Travellers
Life and Accident Insurance Company of Baltimore;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also, the bill entitled, an Act to amend the charter of the
Cumberland and Somerset Turnpike Road Company;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also, the bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for services rendered the State, by Lnther H. H. Gadd,
in the adjustment and payment of claims for bounty to vol-
unteers;

Which Was read a first time and referred to the Committee
tee on Claims.

Also, delivered the bill entitled, an Act to restrict swine
from running at large in the 12th district of Baltimore county;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Baltimore
county delegation.

Also, returned the Senate bill entitled, an Act to repeal
sections 5, 6 and 8, of chapter 24, passed at December ses-
sion, 1835, entitled, an Act to authorize William Krebs, Rich-
ard Linthicum and William Linthicum, to build a bridge over
Gwynn's Falls, at or near where the present bridge stands
bnown as the Long Bridge and to enact a substitute therefor;

Endosed, "passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 10, strike out the word "arbitration" and
jnsert "arbitrators."

Amend at end of section 3 :

Provided; That in case the Mayor and City Council of Bal-
timore, shall purchase the said bridge from the present or fu-
ture owners in accordance with the provisions of this Act,
the said bridge shall be thereafter a free bridge and be kept
in repair and good condition by the said Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, so long as the public convenience may
require that it shall be so kept;
