a bill entitled, an Act to repeal chapter 348 of the laws of
Maryland, passed at the January session, 1864.

On motion of Mr. Hoffhine,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Central Maryland Railroad
Company.

On motion of Mr. Buhrman,

Leave was granted to the Frederick county delegation to
report a bill to repeal sub-section 2 of the Act of 1864, chap-
ter 109.

On motion of Mr. Jump,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to
report a bill to refund a sum of money paid into the Treasury
erroneously by John V. Lowe, of Talbot county, one of the
Collectors of Taxes for said county.

On motion of Mr. Kerr,

Leave was granted to the Talbot and Dorchester delegation
to report a bill to protect the citizens of certain counties from
depredations committed by persons engaged in dredging for
oysters in, the waters of this State.

Mr. Morgan submitted the following

JOINT RESOLUTION:

Whereas, In the year eighteen hundred and sixty-four, the
thirty-eighth regiment of Colored Volunteers, the first and
second regiments Colored Cavalry and Battery "B" of Col-
ored Volunteers of the United States were recruited in the
State of Maryland and mustered into the service of the United
States; and

Whereas, State bounty is due to the owners of a large
number of the colored volunteers of said regiments; therefore

Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Adjutant General of the State of Maryland request the
Honorable, the Secretary of War of the United States to fur-
nish to the office of the Adjutant General of Maryland the
rolls of said regiments.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Clarke, Chairman of the Committee on Claims re-
ported favorably, without amendment, the Senate bill enti-
tled, an Act to refund to Isaac Amos, late Sheriff of Harford
county, a certain sum of money erroneously paid into the
State Treasury,

Which was read a second time; and

On motion of Mr. Nelson,
The rules being suspended,
