future more strongly commend him him to the confidence ot
the people.
2. Resolved, That the General Assembly are fully impres-
sed with the opinion that Governor S/wann has but complied
with the general wish of the people of Maryland in deciding
to remain in the Gubernatorial office, and that he will in the-
future, ag in the past, discharge the duties of his high office,
with firmness and fidelity.
3. Resolved,.That a committee of three, two on the part
of the House of Delegates, and one of the Senate, be appoint-
ed to present to the Governor a copy of the foregoing reso-
lutions.
