The bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 20 of Article 96
of the Code of Public General Laws entitled, weights and
measures," and to re-enact the same with amendment;

Was read a second time.

On motion of Mr. Carmichael,

The vote by which the Senate bill entitled, an Act to re-
peal section §2 of Article 30 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "crimes and punishments," sub-title kidnapping;

Was reconsidered.

The hill being upon its third reading,

Mr. Carmichael proposed the following amendments :

Amend by striking out the word "repealed" in line 8 sec-
tion 1 and insert the following :

Amended and be enacted so as to read as follows :

SEC. 92. Every person, his counsellors, aiders or abettors,
who hall be convicted of the crime of kidnapping *nd for-
cibly or fraudulently carrying or causing to be carried out
of this State, any person with intent to have such person car-
ried out of the State, shall be sentenced to the penitentiary
for not less than two nor more than ten years;

Which were adopted.
The bill as amended,

Was then read a third time and passed by yeas and nays
as follow;
