4th section of the 43d Article of the Code of Public General
Laws relating to habeas corpus, and to re-enact the following
section in lieu thereof;

Which was read a first time.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to authorize and require the
Commissioners of Baltimore county to levy a sum of money
for the payment of the National Union Bank of Maryland,
at Baltimore, of the balance of a debt due the said Bank,
contracted by the Commissioners of Public Free Schools in
the first Election District of Baltimore county, under the Act
of 1832, chapter two hundred and eighty-seven;

Which was read a first time, and

On motion of Mr. Ford,
Referred to the Baltimore county delegation.

Also, unfavorably on the leave to introduce a bill entitled,
an Act to amend and re-enact sections 17 and 19 of Article
38 of the Code of Public General Laws relating to fees of
Justices of the Peace; when,

On motion of Mr. Carmichael,

The committee were discharged from the further conwder-
ation thereof.

Also, unfavorably upon the leave to introduce a bill enti-
tled, an Act to make valid certain deeds of property conveyed
by John J. Graves, Auditor of the city of Baltimore, to
Robert C. Barnes, Sr.

Mr. Clark, Chairman Committee on Claims, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of meney to
pay Edward W. Curriden, for publishing the laws of Janu-
ary session, 1865;

Mr. Pitts, from Select Committee, reported favorably a bill
entitled, an Act passed January session 1864, chapter 116,
entitled, an Act to revive and extend an Act to incorporate
the Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad Company, with amend-
ments, passed at the December session 1847;

Mr. Gordy, from Select Committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act authorizing the Commissioners of Wor-
cester county to establish a road therein described, and making
said road the division line of that portion of Worcester and
Somerset counties;

Mr. Rouzer, from Select Committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to revise and amend the Act of Incorpor-
ation of Mechanicstown in Frederick county, Maryland, pass-
ed December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chap-
