On motion of Mr. Neilson,
The House took up for consideration the bill entitled, an
Act to repeal sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of chapter
37 of the Acts of Assembly of January session, 1866, enti-
tled, an Act to encourage and facilitate immigration to the
State of Maryland, and enact other sections in the place of
the sections so repealed;
Said bill being upon its second reading,
Sir. Davis, of Charles, moved to postpone the further con-
sideration of the bill until Thursday, 28th inst;
On motion of Mr. Boswell,
The" further consideration of the bill was postponed, and
the bill made the order of the day for Tuesday, 26th inst., at
one o'clock.
Mr. Bishop moved that the House do now adjourn until to-
morrow morning at 12 o'clock ;
